Damn, you just had this sitting around? The mixing turned out great, killer sound all around!

Burn7 responds:

Ayy, good to see ya Axel!

Yeah, I have... Jeez probably 20-30 songs that have just been sitting collecting dust while I focus on other audio engineering stuff. But with all the new plugins and whatnot that I have all these older recordings make good practice for mixing.

It's been over 10 years of writing music and I still struggle with mixing things to a point where I think they sound good.

This is a really cool re-imagining of NeveRaveN. The chippy synths and electronic vibe give the track a little more kick, and overall it feels more sinister. I don't know if you plan on tweaking this more, but it could be cool if you added the extra guitar breakdown from the ending of the original (though the ending here works fine as well). Great work mate, love how it sounds!

Love how this sounds, awesome work!

Wow, the flow and variation in this is great! Especially loving the synths together with the guitars, awesome sound. Nice work on this, you really went all out!

Burn7 responds:

I seriously can't believe you're still listening to my music. It's been almost 10 years dude, I feel like I should give you a fucking medal or something.

But sincerely, from the bottom of my heart... Thank you. You're one of the few people I truly look forward to hearing from when I post things.

You're the best and you deserve the best :)

A weird one for sure, but got a good vibe to it, and liking those guitars. Nice to see you dropping some new stuff!

Burn7 responds:

Thanks my man. I've been doing basically nonstop music writing for the past year for Tales of Nowhere so it's good to just kind of mess around occasionally.

It's also good to see you still around after all this time :] Seriously, I hope things are going well with you.

Those female vocals are very nice! Also like the jazzy/spooky vibe from the instrumentals.

Really like how well everything meshes here. 3:10 - 3:25 is definitely a highlight, nice way
to change things up a bit. Always good to see you drop some new tracks here ^^

Killer energy, love how the song is structured as a whole. Awesome work on this!

EliteFerrex responds:

Thank you! This one's a real passion for me. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

In my opinion, this sounds a bit too intense for a puzzle-solver, but I could definitely see it in an RPG. That aside, the song itself is great. I love the overall feel of it, like there's a constant air of tension. Really dig that bit at 2:17 with the more isolated instrumentals too. Good stuff, too bad the game never came to fruition. At least some sweet music came of it :3

Burn7 responds:

Haha, well thanks for checking me out still. The game was... Not terrible, but it just didn't work. We ended up having too many members on our team to get anything done effectively. People overwrote each other's code, ideas were shot down that would have been cool... It's really weird doing these gamejams because I'm just sitting there at the deciding table like "Idgaf man, I just make the sounds".

Yo, you remember those older tracks of yours, 'Lighter' and 'Violet Poison?' While the techno wasn't present here, the piano definitely gives me similar vibes. I've always liked how you use piano in your stuff, either coupled with other instruments, or by itself. This particular track has a real sound of despair to it, and could easily fit in with a dark atmosphere like you'd find in Binding of Isaac. I don't know how I'd feel about lyrics being present, since I think it's pretty strong as is, but I'd be curious to see another side of it.

Glad you're doing better now, and hope that sticks with you :)

I like making cute art and other stuff, Dog bless.
